Jeanne-Claire Bischoff is a registered and insured counsellor with a focus on Resilience Coaching & Counselling. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Arts Counselling. Jeanne-Claire gained clinical experience in a hospital setting through NHS referrals. Jeanne-Claire's practice involves somatic exploration to promote greater well-being and resilience. She incorporates various therapeutic modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) with sensory-based artistic interventions.
Her primary focus is on supporting clients in developing confidence, self-esteem, and a stronger sense of self. She offers creative communication strategies to aid an embodied approach to self-reflection. Additionally, she provides skills training and psychoeducation techniques supported by neuroscience to help clients better understand and navigate their experiences.
As part of her work, Jeanne-Claire incorporates insights from Dr. Stephen Porges' Polyvagal Theory, as well as trauma research by experts like Dr. Bessel van der Kolk and Dr. Gabor Mate. She also draws on approaches such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) proposed by Dr. Daniel Siegel MD.
